Notes:
n1/ In 2016 the BCCR publishes new indicators calculated with data from the CPI with the most recent base (Indicadores de inflación subyacente, base junio 2015).
n2/ Indicators that look for the measurement of price changes due to monetary pressures, by eliminating the distorting effect of having temporary or extreme variations, usually associated with whether, seasonal or institutional factors. The indicators in this table are calculated from the CPI base 2006.
n3/ The core rate of inflation (ISI), which is braked down into goods (ISI-B) and services (ISI-S), the ISI_46 and truncated Media (IMT) are indicators constructed by exclusion. To calculate the ISI and ISI_46 the elements with a historically high volatility are excluded from the CPI and the excluded subset which does not change in time. For the IMT components with the most atypical variations in each period are excluded so the excluded group varies each month (links 1, 2, 3).
n4/ Core inflation reweighted by volatility (IRV) and core inflation reweighted by persistence (IRP) are indicators of double weighting; for its calculation it includes all CPI articles, but in the IRV the weighting of each fits with the inverse of its volatility, so the more volatile items is assigned the less weight they have; for the IRP the weighting is adjusted so the articles with more persistent variations have the most weight (link 2).
